What E15 Actually Is
Every Bosch dishwasher has a leak-protection system called AquaStop. A shallow tray sits under the machine with a float in it. If water collects in that tray, the float rises, trips a switch, and the machine shows E15 and often runs its drain pump continuously to protect against a flood. So E15 is not itself a broken part, it is the safety system doing its job because water reached the base.
Why Water Reaches the Tray
The water can come from a small, slow leak at a hose or seal, from a large boil-over of suds if too much or the wrong detergent was used, or from a spill during loading. In many cases it is a one-time event, and once the tray is dry the code clears and does not return. The problem is when there is an ongoing leak, because then the tray refills and E15 comes straight back.
Clearing E15 Safely

When E15 Keeps Coming Back

That needs a technician to find and seal the source, not just to dry the tray again. Continuing to run the machine through a repeating E15 risks a real water escape past the protection system.
